USER CATEGORIES AND PERMIT TYPES AT CAMP RIPLEY AND AHATS
User accounts are seperated into seven user categories:

Category A: Resident Military: Active and Retired Military, Reserves and National Guard and military dependent ID card holders. Proof of service is required for Category A validation. A copy of your DD Form 214/215 and appropriate ID card is required. When sending this information, social security numbers and PII must be BLOCKED OUT. Note: The Camp Ripley ID card office can issue ID cards for retired civilian personnel. Please call 320-616-2728 prior to visiting for more information.
Category A-1: Recently Deployed Resident Military: Minnesota Army or Air National Guard Service Member that has been mobilized with a Minnesota Army or Air National Guard Unit to support a federal mission for a period of greater than 180 days since September 11, 2001 and military dependent ID card holders. A copy of your DD Form 214/215 and appropriate ID card is required. When sending this information, social security numbers and PII must be BLOCKED OUT. Note: The Camp Ripley ID card office can issue ID cards for retired civilian personnel. Please call 320-616-2728 prior to visiting for more information.
Category A-2: Resident Military Veteran: A resident military veteran is any person who served for any length of time in any military service branch. A veteran is a former member of the Armed Forces of the United States (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard) who served on active duty/reserve and was discharged under conditions, which were other than dishonorable. A copy of your DD Form 214/215 and appropriate ID card is required.
Category B: Resident Military Civilian: Civilian employee of the MN Department of Military Affairs or Department of Defense (DoD) civilians. A copy of your Civilian government employee ID is required for all Category B applicants. When sending this information, social security numbers and PII must be BLOCKED OUT. Note: The Camp Ripley ID card office can issue ID cards for retired civilian personnel. Please call 320-616-2728 prior to visiting for more information.
Category C: General Public (those who do not qualify for Category A, A-1, or B). No copy of ID required. You do not have to validate your status.
Category D: Military Youth: Dependents under the age of 18 of any Category A, A-1, or A-2 user type. YOUTH HUNTERS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN ACCOUNT
Category D-1: Youth: Youth under the age of 18. YOUTH HUNTERS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN ACCOUNT

Camp Ripley Archery Deer Hunting
Hunting is open to all eligible hunters during the State archery season. All hunters who are legally able to hunt big game are allowed to apply. For additional information on deer hunting and license requirments visit https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/rlp/index.html
The number of permits sold will not be limited. However, there will be a 150 hunter daily limit.
PERMITS MAY BE PURCHASED THROUGHOUT THE SEASON
HUNTING AREAS ARE NOT RESERVABLE IN ADVANCE OF YOUR DATE OF ARRIVAL.

Camp Ripley Turkey Hunting
Applicants must be category A, A-1 or A-2 users. Eligible hunters may hunt with their dependent youth (Category D) under the age of 18.
Hunters must submit verfication of eligibilitty via email to ng.mn.mnarng.mbx.isportsman-crtc@army.mil upon setting up their account. This permit will not be available until verification is complete.
80 permitted hunters shall be allowed for this hunt.
HUNTING AREAS ARE NOT RESERVABLE IN ADVANCE OF YOUR DATE OF ARRIVAL.

Camp Ripley Muzzleloader Deer Hunting
Applicants must be category A, A-1 or A-2 users. Eligible hunters may hunt with their dependent youth (Category D) under the age of 18.
Hunters must submit veirfication of eligibility via email to ng.mn.mnarng.mbx.isportsman-crtc@army.mil upon setting up their account. This permit will not be available until verification is complete.
150 permitted hunters will be allowed for this hunt.

LOTTERY MUZZLELOADER HUNT PERMIT DRAWING SELECTION PROCESS
**If applying as a group, the groups priority in lottery drawings will be based on the user with the least preference in the group**
